St Martin-in-the-Fields

From Elswyth, my ongoing record of light and architecture in places of quiet observation. At St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, the white façade rises clear against the London sky – columns and shadow creating a rhythm of stillness within the movement of the city. I’m drawn to how light defines these spaces – shifting with each hour yet leaving a sense of calm that endures.
